Becca
Kaufman and Amy
Mowery are the Executive Producers of Singer Spotlight
Productions and co-producers of Chicago Singer Spotlight at
FitzGerald's.
Becca Kaufman
Becca
Kaufman, a native New Yorker, moved to Chicago to attend Northwestern
University. For the last five years she co-hosted the radio show
"I Do,
I Do," a wedding/relationship program broadcast on 105.9FM,
WCKG. Considered a "wedding expert" she has been on TV locally (NBC,
FOX, CLTV and WGN) and around the country giving advice to brides
and grooms. An accomplished studio singer and voice-over talent,
you've heard Becca proclaiming the delights of Coke, Diet Coke,
Bally's, Buick and many others. Her character voices can be heard
on many games and toys, including the smash CD-ROM series 'You Don't
Know Jack'. In fact, she was just featured on WGN-TV as "Chicago's
Very Own" because of her vocal gymnastics. No stranger to legitimate
stages, Becca has been privileged to perform alongside the likes
of Lily Tomlin, Brooke Shields, Phoebe Snow, Tony Roberts and Ellen
Burstyn as well as appearing in the long-running hit School House
Rock Live! Some of her favorite gigs have been singing the National
Anthem for the world champion Chicago Bulls and her forever-losing
New York Knicks. Becca was the Producer of Music for the Heart,
a collection of 23 original children's songs, benefiting The Children's
Heart Foundation, released throughout the Midwest in 2002. Music
for the Heart made it to the Grammy's semi-final round for The
Best Children's Album. Her newest venture, weddingquestions.com,
will be launched in June 2003.

Amy
Mowery
Amy
Mowery is a proud third generation Chicagoan, born and raised in
the North Side neighborhood of Lincoln Square. After graduating
from Ball State University with a degree in journalism, she worked
as a newspaper reporter, freelance graphic designer and magazine
art director before settling into her current career as an internet
producer for WGN-TV
in Chicago. She recently won the 2002 Silver Dome Award from the
Illinois Broadcaster's Association for "Best TV Website"
in the state of Illinois. Music, however, has been an integral part
of her life ever since her older sister gave her a copy of the Monkees
album, The Birds, The Bees and the Monkees, when Amy was
five. An avid live music fan, she has traveled around the country
to see her favorite bands including Poi Dog Pondering, Los Lobos,
The Scabs, Alison Krauss, John Wesley Harding, Galactic, Tony Furtado
and Ellis Paul. That devotion led her to the Old
Town School of Folk Music to study voice, under the guidance
of Alison Ruble.
In the past three years, Amy has performed a mix of blues, folk
and country at Buddy Guy's Legends, the Abbey Pub, Gunther Murphy's,
FitzGeralds, Pop's Highwood and the Lyon's Den. Email Amy at

Phylis
Renee Marconi and Fannie Floros are co-producers of
Singer Spotlight Unplugged at Uncommon Ground.
Fannie Floros
According to her Greek immigrant parents, Fannie pretty much came
into the world singing and dancing. Born and raised in Chicago,
she moved to Greece with her family for a short while, ultimately
settling back to the Northwest side of Chicago where she's called
home ever since. She started singing in her church choir at a young
age and was hooked. Her formal vocal training began at 18 and she
has spent the bulk of her studies with much respected Chicago based
vocal coach Fred Farran. Fannie received a B.A. in Communications
with emphasis in Radio & TV production, from the University of Illinois
at Chicago. Soon after graduation, she began working as a production
manager in the commercial music industry. Now a freelance producer
and songwriter, she also writes and produces projects for local
artists. Fannie joined the Singer Spotlight family in 2005 and says
"I feel very blessed to have been given this wonderful opportunity
to grow as a singer, writer and producer. I learn so much from all
the great arists that take part in our showcase!"

Phylis Renee Marconi
Phylis
Renee Marconi has been singing most of her life. Starting out early
in her career with just her guitar, she has since woven through
a long thread of bands. She reaches many different audiences due
to her church singing as well as her pop/rock singing. Her first
love is singing rock music mixed up with a little pop and a lot
of soul! Fronting her own band, Phyl ‘n the Cracks a.k.a. Phylodendron,
she has been featured on Chicago radio personality Jonathon Brandmeier’s
morning show on WLUP-FM. Phylis longed to write, record and perform
her own music. Since crossing that bridge, she has gotten the opportunity
to showcase her music at many fine Chicago venues (Beat Kitchen,
Abbey Pub, Fitzgerald’s, Schuba’s, Uncommon Ground). She has also
been a guest on Muse, an arts program aired through ATT cable in
Chicago. She showcased two songs from her first demo cd. That same
cd earned a review from the Musesmuse songwriter’s website and also
a finalist placement in the Sennheiser’s Evolution Mics Band Contest
in February of 2000. Along with airplay on internet radio, a live
performance of Phylis singing "Meet Me At The Café" can be found
at www.mp3.com/singerspotlight.
Within the past year she has also been featured on some local radio
programs including "Local Color" on WJJG-AM, "I Do, I Do" on WCKG-FM
as well as a Singer Spotlight feature on WZRD-FM, Northeastern Illinois
University Radio. In summer 2001 she co-wrote and performed 2 songs
for the Illinois State Board of Education to be used in a Summer
Bridges video. Her song "Meet Me At The Café" was included on a
compilation disc to be distributed at the Midwest Music Summit held
in Indianapolis, IN in summer 2001. Her cd "I’ll Find My Way" is
being distributed at some Barnes & Noble and Borders locations.
In February 2002, Phylis’ cd was reviewed by ChicagoGigs. In April
2002, Phylis was featured in The Star Newspaper. She continues to
write, play out and record her own music. Check out her website:
