Performing
at Chicago Singer Spotlight on Wednesday, December 12 at FitzGerald's
Beki
Hemingway
Pop-rock
songstress Beki Hemingway made her debut performing for the neighborhood
kids on top of garbage cans at the age of five. A well-traveled
Marine brat, she soon learned to overcome shyness and feel comfortable
in the spotlight. Beki honed her dynamic vocal skills working recording
sessions, singing and touring with such artists as Larry Norman
and the quirky punk-abilly band This Train. Whether drawing you
to the edge of your seat with a tender ballad or grabbing your attention
with her commanding vocals Beki shines nightly. Beki performed over
150 shows last year sharing the stage with such artists as Pierce
Pettis, Vigilantes of Love, Aimee Mann and Shawn Colvin. Currently,
Beki is working on her second full-length CD and will launch a national
tour with guitarist and husband Randy Kerkman in May 2002. For more

Nancy
Antevski
Nancy
Antevski might still be a newcomer on the Chicago music scene, but
since her arrival she has proved to be a great performer with an
ear for slightly offbeat pop/rock creations. Nancy didn't realize
she had a natural gift for music until just a few years ago. She
moved to Chicago from Valparaiso, Indiana to study theater at Columbia
College. Only a few months after she began singing and teaching
herself guitar she was cast in a play as a performer at school,
got picked up by her first band, started writing her own music and
began touring and opening for national acts. One of her latest projects,
Butterfly McQueen, has been voted as one of the best female fronted
bands in Chicago. Her first batch of songs and her first attempt
at producing can be heard on the bands newly released CD, titled,
What Are The Chances. She is currently working on some preproduction
to her next CD where she hopes she can continue to explore her interest
in producing and recording. You can see Nancy all around Chicago
with her bandmates or you can also catch her in Aspen, Colorado
where she spends a few months out of every year performing, writing
and living. Upcoming shows/Booking 312-409-3583.
