Matt
Ross, a professional guitarist and singer/songwriter in Chicago,
is the Music Director at Catching Life Christian Church and has
spent many years developing his craft. Jazz studies major from DePaul
University, Matt has professionally recorded for and played in all
kinds of different bands that have influenced a unique, musical
approach to his worship. Leading The DOC Band at Catching Life has
inspired many original songs of worship and two albums. Most notably
is the latest release, The DOC Band - Matt Ross which came out in
2005 and received an honorable mention in the 2004 International
Christian Songwriting Contest for the song Who Am I? Part of the
proceeds from this album go to support the street outreach of Breakthrough
Urban Ministries - specifically the prostitution outreach on the
West side of Chicago. Matt desires to lead people into God's presence

Snordon
Phil Snorden
has been singing since elementary school. As baby boomer growing
up in a musical family with a mother who played the piano and a
father who sang he was exposed to wide range of music including
jazz, gospel, classical and R&B the music of his generation. Phil
currently sings with the Community Renewal Chorus and his church
choir at Euclid United Methodist Church in Oak Park. This is Phil’s
first performance at Singer Spotlight. Phil lives in Oak Park with
his wife Lorraine; they have one son Zachary who is a freshman in
college and a great sax player in his own right.
