Performing
at Chicago Singer Spotlight on Wednesday, June 11 at FitzGerald's.
La'Shaun
McNicholas
La'
Shaun Mc Nicholas a Southside Chicago native, came out of the womb
singing. Most of her love of music came from the encouragement of
her parents who each had their own singing careers; Rodney Paschal
produced many 45's & La Colun Paschal (a member of Rickie Alan &
The Alan Dolls). She learned a love for harmonies and a joy for
music that sounds so good that hurts. La' Shaun first began her
singing experience in her parents living room. Then singing for
school choirs until she hooked up with a Christian group that went
by the name of the "Christian Family". This group contained a total
of 4 women singing mostly accappella tunes with 4 part harmonies.
She sang the lead for the single "Be My Babe" produced and written
by Frankie "Hollywood" Rodriguez at DJ International. La' Shaun
has now been a part of an 8 woman vocal group, UNITY for over 6
years now. They just released their first CD which is self titled
"UNITY". She loves singing songs of worship and praise to God (her
first love) but she also likes Deep House Music, R&B and Hip Hop.
Something with a little emotion hooked up to it. La' Shaun is the
wife to her loving husband of 8 years Shaun and the mother of 3
beautiful children Mikyail 13, Tristen 5 and Nya 2. Get ready to
move your feet. (La' Shaun can be reached at lashaun@psmdesign.com.

Kristin Cotts
Kristin
Cotts has been writing songs since the age of nine, a year after
she started taking piano lessons. In fifth grade, she took up the
cello. She yearned to be in her high school marching band, but carrying
her chair, cello, and bow proved to be too incovenient for the rest
of the band. In high school and college, Kristin spent a lot of
time running long distances for the cross country and track teams
and a little less time singing in choral ensembles and playing in
the orchestra. Since graduating from Carleton College in Northfield,
Minneosota, she has worked as a VISTA Volunteer in North Dakota,
a T.A. at the University of Michigan, an Assitant to Ronald McDonald,
and a French teacher in the Chicago area. She has been performing
solo around the Chicago area for the past two years and plans to
put a rock and roll outfit together this summer. Find

Andrea Sabesin
Andrea Sabesin is very
happy to be singing in the show tonight especially because she and
Becca Kaufman have been friends since attending Northwestern University
and performing together in the shows Waa-Mu and A Chorus Line. Andrea
also played Roxie Hart in NU's production of Chicago. After graduation
Andrea performed at Disneyworld in Orlando, Florida and completed
the Second City Training Program in Chicago. She is currently living
in Los Angeles where she has had guest spots on the television shows
"King of Queens", "Gilmore Girls" and "7th Heaven". Andrea also
appeared in the film "The Sweetest Thing" starring Cameron Diaz.
Andrea would like to thank her family who all lives in Chicago for
being here tonight. Happy Birthday Shel!
Jennifer
Chada
Jennifer Chada's musical style would best be described as
eclectic. She's been singing everything from jingles to jazz over
the last 15 years. In addition to major roles in Chicago area musical
theatres, Jennifer is an award winning cabaret artist with two original
shows under her belt. For the past two years, she was invited to
perform at the Mabel Mercer Foundation's Chicago Cabaret Convention
held at Park West. This October, she'll be performing at the New
York Cabaret Convention at Towne Hall. Her latest endeavor has her
singing soprano with Chicago's newest Vintage Jazz Quartet, TONIC
(www.tonicvocals.com).
Thanks for coming out tonight to support this wonderful showcase.
