Performing
at Chicago Singer Spotlight on Wednesday, March 14 at FitzGerald's
Leigh
Kossman
To some degree or another
Leigh Kossman has been involved in theatre, dance, and music most
of her life. During the past several years Leigh has: often been
a featured singer at showcases in and around Chicago; performed
in musical theatre, most recently as Maria in The Sound of Music;
created, organized and sung in community concerts and dinners; and
has performed at The Omega Institute in New York. She and partner
Mary Anderson produce and host a monthly singers' showcase called
The Vocal Venue in Naperville. And, they are currently recording
a Christmas CD, scheduled for release early this fall! Leigh has
been a private voice coach since 1995; and has been a loyal, faithful,
thankful student of Ed Farran's since 1991. This is Leigh's debut
at FitzGerald's. She wishes to thank Amy and Becca for this opportunity
and is happy to be in the company of such amazing talent! Leigh
lives in Hinckley with husband Scotto and daughters: Josie (7) AND
twins Annie and Lillie (2). (Leigh has 13+ alter egos living inside
of her, and if you frequent performances, you might just meet them
all!)
Ron Keaton
Ron
is a very familiar face to Chicago theatergoers, having performed
in many phases of Chicago theater - from Shakespeare to contemporary
drama to musical theater and more. His versatility extends to broadcasting
(host and creator of the radio series The American Diary),
voiceover, film and commercial work. Ron is on the advisory board
of SEASON OF CONCERN, the AIDS fundraising organization in the Chicagoland
artistic community. He is a writer, a student of American history,
an avid golfer and he lives in Evanston.
KT
McCammond
KT's
(that's pronounced simply Katie's) career has encompassed many forms
of performance, from the musical stage to trade show narrating,
character actress to Karaoke Jockey to cover and jazz band vocalist.
Through it all she has been, at heart, a singer first. And so, after
many years of diving into everything, KT has decided to focus on
her singing career because those are the clothes that fit the best.
She has just finished a CD of her upcoming cabaret show "Love is
a Four Letter Word ," that she completed with the help of her great
friend and amazing accompanist James Cebastien. After a prolonged
hiatus, KT is looking forward to a great debut year of performing
in Chicago. Thanks to Becca and Amy for giving me this opportunity
to do my thang. Thanks to Mac for his unshakable support and a swift
kick in the butt when it's needed.
Michelle Hallman
Michelle
Hallman was born and raised in Miami, Florida. She sang in several
bands there and performed in cruise ship shows. She has been a working

R&B, rock and jazz. Since she moved to Chicago in 1992, Hallman
has been a part of many different musical projects including Funkhouse,
Butterfly McQueen, Amazing Headgear, the Weebles and The Rob Curtis
Orchestra. Michelle was recently invited to join SAG. for her vocal
work on several different TV commercial spots. She is also an established
percussionist and has lent her vocal and percussion skills to many
recording efforts including an upcoming CD by Amazing Headgear,
Mr. Blotto, and her own original CD titled "Winter's Day."
