Jayme
MariAnne
Jayme's musical journey has spiraled into an array of adventure.
In the past four years, she has lived and worked as a professional
musician in three different states! Her influences come from various
genres including jazz, pop, R&B and world music, and since moving
to Chicago she has completed a master of music degree from Roosevelt
University. She performs locally at clubs, events, other fine venues,
and is happily trying to write more original music.
Matt Tiegler
Born in Des Plaines, Matt's musical beginnings are typical:
early piano lessons, a ‘75 Sunburst Strat on his 16th birthday and
a few years later a TASCAM mini-studio. He had written and recorded
about 15 songs ("None well-structured but they worked") with one
of his tapes making it into the hands of a college DJ in Sweet Briar,
Virginia. Unbeknownst to Matt, requests came in and dubs began to
circulate in the mid-Atlantic states and New England resulting in
further radio airplay. Alas, this alone did not make Matt Tiegler's
name famous in every dormitory in America, nor did big contracts
waft their way over his transom. For by that time, he was studying
business at Arizona State University in Tempe with thespian activities
more prominent than playing music onstage. His professional theatrical
career began when he relocated back to Chicago with the Improv Institute.
His next major ensemble of note was the Free Associates, a troupe
which specializes in fully-improvised plays in the styles of such
authors as the Bronte sisters and Tennessee Williams. He is presently
an artistic company member of the Noble Fool Theater Company. He
is currently performing several roles in Flanagan's Wake
and The Baritones, a parody of HBO's The Sopranos.
Matt is largely self-taught as a guitarist and his musical influences
can be traced back to the first two albums he could claim as his
own: The Beatles' "Help!" and The Beach Boys' "Endless Summer. Matt
began studying with bluegrass musician Gus Friedlander, who recommended
he take a songwriting class at the Old Town School of Folk Music.
The teacher was Ralph Covert, best-known as the former leader of
Bad Examples. Eventually, the two decided to work on the album that
became Gods And Heroes. Matt is currently writing songs for
his second full-length CD. Find out more about Matt at www.matttiegler.com
Mary Anderson
Singing has been a passion of Mary Anderson's for as
long as she can remember. Mary started out performing in musical
theatre in high school and college. Her singing career began with
cover bands Mirage and The Attitude, and continued with voiceover
work and appearances in various Chicago showcases. She has studied
voice with Ed Farran for six years. In 1998, Mary launched a new
business: Safe In Sound, which produces jingles for children to
learn their address and phone number. Most recently, you can hear
Mary on the stage of The Cabaret in Naperville, where she and co-producer
Leigh Kossman perform every month at The Vocal Venue, a singers'
showcase. Her latest singing project is a Christmas CD being recorded
with Vocal
Venue partner Leigh Kossman. Their CD will be released in September,
2002 - so mark your calendars! Mary resides in Batavia with husband
Jeff and daughters Alicia and Lauren. She'd like to send her love
and thanks to her family and friends for their continued support
of her singing career!
Charlotte Horton
Making the decision to sing a positive message has been the right
choice for Charlotte Horton. Since day one it has opened doors and
given her the opportunity to sing with Grammy-award winning Yolanda
Adams, Donnie McClurkin and several other national gospel artists.
One of Charlotte's major accomplishments includes singing with R&B
artist R. Kelly on the track, "I Believe I Can Fly". Charlotte will
soon embark upon another major project, a collection of songs dedicated
to the memory of her mother, Luna Marie Horton. The CD will be available
May 2002 from which the proceeds will benefit the LMH Scholarship
Foundation, named after her mother.
