Performing
at Chicago Singer Spotlight on Wednesday, October 9 at FitzGerald's.
Dawn
O'Keefe Williams
I
perform within the tristate area and work with Ronny & The Rockits
who back me up on my gigs. Last month we were at the Chicago Cultural
Center and can be viewed on Chicago's Channel 25. I received a Billboard
Certificate Award of Achievement for my song STONE COLD FOOL and
I was a backup singer for recording artist Vanessa Davis. I have
produced many fundraisers and workshop panels.
Jodi Kaitlyn
My
name is Jodi Kaitlyn, I am an emergency room trauma nurse and vocalist/
song writer. I released my first CD with all original productions
about a year ago with Kraig McCreary as my producer, and hope to
produce another soon! I have sang in multiple pop rock bands, and
performed with a contemporary gospel group. I sing professionally
at wedding ceremonies and love to perform the National Anthem, and
have done so at many events, including for the Chicago Cubs, the
Schaumburg Flyers, and various memorials and opening ceremonies.
I am working on playing the piano and guitar and someday I'll officially
add it to my list of things "I do"! Besides all this music stuff
-I love to exercise, camp, fish, garden, and reading. I never sit
down-AKA energizer bunny!
Stephanie Rogers
Stephanie
Rogers is an award-winning songwriter from Chicago. She grew up
and went to college in Evanston and has two main loves in her life:
her husband John and their son, Charlie. Stephanie came to music
kind of late in life, after overcoming cancer. She had starred in
lots of commercials and small movies roles, then one day in 1994
she realized she wanted to learn to sing. Stephanie sings with The
Eddie Harrison Orchestra every week, and her own band performs at
Navy Pier, as well as around the club scene. She started Hipchick
Records in 1999 to promote her music on the internet and her second
cd will be out in November. Her first cd, "Not To Keep," has won
a lot of critical acclaim and has sold like hotcakes on the web.
For information about her upcoming cd release party, please see
her website at: www.hipchick.com.
Steph thanks Amy and Becca for their continued support.
Bob
Stroud
Bob's childhood hobby,
became his profession....music! Bit by the vinyl bug in the late
50's, he finally made his debut as a disc jockey in Sarasota, Florida
in 1977. Since 1979, Bob has been entertaining Chicago rock audiences
with his vast knowledge of rock 'n roll history. His celebrated
Rock 'n Roll Roots Radio program has aired for the past 21 years
on such stations as WMET, The Loop, AM 1000, CD 94.7, and WXRT and
now 97.1 the Drive. For 10 years, Bob fronted Rockestra, an 11 piece
rock and soul band to audiences all over Chicagoland and the midwest.
In his spare time, he daydreams about what he would be doing if
he had any spare time.
