Joni Larlee
Joni Larlee, originally from Canada, has made her home in the Chicago area for many years. Although she has been singing since age two, she gave it up to focus her energy on hair design and color. Now the music in her soul has reawakened and her sensitivity, passion and imagination are being expressed creatively through her singing and writing. She calls it "Passionation". She is presently designing hair at Via Venato in Highland Park and singing at Jilly's Cafe in Evanston for special occasions as well all performing at festivals and private parties. Joni will enchant you and capture your hearts as her sultry singing of French and English standards take you back in time. After a long absence as a performer, music has reawakened in her soul and now it is here to stay!

Dina Joy Byrd
DINA JOY BYRD would like to start by thanking the fabulously talented and ever-supportive, Becca Kaufman and Amy Mowery, for yet another wonderful opportunity. Rock On Singer Spotlight North Shore! Dina's cabaret of torch and siren songs was recently featured at Davenport's. She studies voice with the great Ed Farran. She has spent the last nine years in the Chicago area singing in all different venues. Jazz, musical theater, rock or blues - Ms. Byrd sings it all. She is constantly searching for musicians to jam with! As always, Dina would like to thank her Mom, Diana.

Lucinda Johnston
Lucinda Johnston is delighted to be performing at the SingerSpotlight showcase and would like to thank everyone involved including the great group of musicians for making it happen. Lucinda has been singing for as long as she can remember but never took it too seriously. After one miserable year as a vocal performance major in college she decided to put it off for just awhile. Who knew that would mean 10 years! After moving to Chicago she started pursuing an acting career including musical theatre. Today, Lucinda is a working actor and voice over talent. Although, singing has taken a back-seat to acting it has remained her first love. This is Lucinda's second showcase and chance to "rock 'n roll". Her daughter, Elena, is her light and her husband, Martin, is her constant inspiration reminding her it's never too late to pursue what we love.

Tita Farrar
Tita Farrar is an international vocalist who has been singing professionally in Australia for the last 10 years. Tita was born in LA and is of Spanish/European American decent and was raised for a large portion of her life by a Jamaican nanny in Florida when Tita's mother was a nightclub singer and father was traveling the globe as an international cruise singer. The vast musical spectrum within her musical experience can be heard in her vocal dexterity and original sound, a fusion of jazz, soul, to R&B/dance. Tita has a dance single out in Australia and just moved to Chicago where has started her own vocal studio and music business called Mouth Music, while continuing to pursue her recording career. In her "Holistic approach," singers and newcomers will experience unpredictable results or miracles in the realms of creativity and self expression, with clarity around ones fears that suppress ones natural ability to go beyond their vocal/creative limits. She calls this "Transformational Singing." In her performance with Singer Spotlight North Shore, Tita will share her intimate passion for jazz with a twist of Latin and contemporary. Her soulful style and unique approach to some familiar favorites will be a delightful treat to your ears. This occasion marks Tita's launch as a new live artist for Chicago's jazz/venue scene.
