Bob Stroud
Bob's
childhood hobby, became his profession....music! Bit by the vinyl
bug in the late 50's, he finally made his debut as a disc jockey
in Sarasota, Florida in 1977. Since 1979, Bob has been entertaining
Chicago rock audiences with his vast knowledge of rock 'n roll history.
His celebrated Rock 'n Roll Roots Radio program has aired for the
past 21 years on such stations as WMET, The Loop, AM 1000, CD 94.7,
WXRT and 97.1 The Drive. For 10 years, Bob fronted Rockestra, an
11 piece rock and soul band to audiences all over Chicagoland and
the midwest. In his spare time, he daydreams about what he would
be doing if he had any spare time.
Linnea Gialamas
Making
music has been a part of Linnea's life ever since she can remember.
Her grandmother and namesake was a concert pianist and her mother's
participation in community theatre gave birth to the music junkie
that she is today. Linnea has studied voice on an off for 18 years,
plays the flute and tinker's with keys, guitar, and percussion.
As a young woman she followed in her mother's footsteps and pursued
leading lady roles in such musicals as HMS Pinafore, Damn Yankees,
Annie and Roger's and Hammerstein's Cinderella. While studying for
her Bachelor's Degree from the University of Minnesota, Linnea began
to take her music career much more seriously and started to train
and perform as a classic vocalist. Once she moved back to Chicago
though she realized her love of classical music and opera was waning
and followed the calling to other genres of music. It was then that
Linnea put it all together by studying at the Bloom School of Jazz
and the Center for Voice and began singing pop, blues, jazz, folk
and R&B. Last year Linnea successfully recorded her first CD with
the help of fellow Vocal Venue talent Derrick Procell. She continues
to perform at weddings, private functions and locally about town.
