Nickey Rodin
Nickey Rodin is 18-years-old and so excited to be performing with Singer Spotlight North Shore. She now attends North Shore Country Day School where she played the role of Aline in Gilber and Sullivan's "The Sorcerer." Other favorite roles include: Rosie in "Bye Bye Birdie" and the minstrel in "Once Upon A Mattress." Thanks so much to family and Fay! Nickey performed at Singer Spotlight Jr., in March 2002.

Tamara Anderson

Tamara Anderson has well over 25 years of performance experience in the music industry. Her career has led her in many directions; nightclub engagements (she started performing as a lead singer and rhythm guitar with a live touring band at the age of 16), recording studio work, charitable benefits, radio and television, voice-overs (including medical narration), and jingles (including McDonalds, Mattel Toys and FedEx). Not only is she a seasoned and versatile performer, but also a well-known and established voice teacher for over a decade. Tamara started competing and winning at the age of nine in talent shows and has won numerous awards including, "The Lake County Fair Talent Show", TCI Cable's "Best of Lake County" and several other contests from Canada to Florida. She has been a featured singer on several occasions for the Chicago based and critically acclaimed "Chick Singer Night", "The Local Vocal Jazz Brew", "The Vocal Venue" and "Singers Spotlight". Tamara has also judged and orchestrated many talent shows (a Variety Show recently shown on AT&T), karaoke contests, several Miss Illinois Beauty Pageants, and has been asked to be a part of several auditions, cable shows (Executive Producer of Chicago Inside Out) workshops and conferences dedicated to the entertainment field. Tamara is currently writing and producing her debut Inspirational CD "Unlimited Love" which is scheduled to be released in the spring of 2002, and is already getting attention from the major record companies. Two of her original songs have been in the finals of several songwriting contests over the past year. She is also putting together a comedy/impersonation show that she plans on touring with. Tamara is married to Russell Anderson, a very talented drummer who is currently touring with The Rex Carroll Band, and they have a beautiful and vocally talented daughter Amber Nicole Anderson who recently performed for both Singer Spotlight Jr. at Fitzgerald's and Singer Spotlight at Pop's Highwood.

Margaret Andrea
Margaret Andrea has been performing in the Chicagoland area for over a decade. She has produced and performed her shows at many outstanding venues, which include Pop's for Champagne, Heartland Café, Davenport's, Gentry, and The Royal George Theatre. For many years, she performed in the theatre and cruise ship scene, working with Carnival Cruise Lines, Music Theatre Workshop, Light Opera Works in Evanston, and Bailiwick Repertory Theatre. However, her favorite performing niche quickly became singing in jazz and cabaret clubs and at private parties and weddings. At these venues, she has the freedom to choose the music and create many different types of shows for all audiences. She performed with the female trio, The Blondes. This group formed in 1995 and released their cd, "Try" in 1997 to outstanding reviews. She will have The Blondes cd for sale at Singer Spotlight. One of the highlights performing with The Blondes was singing "The Star-Spangled Banner" at a Chicago White Sox Game. In addition to her many performances, she previously taught music and theatre for students ages K-8 in Chicago and Lake Zurich, Illinois where she directed reviews, variety shows, and plays. Currently, she is preparing a cabaret show for middle students for a "Fine Arts Day" in March. Margaret Andrea is a member of Chicago Cabaret Professional. www.chicagocabaret.org CCP is an alliance of performers and advocates of the art form of cabaret.

Wendy Joy Hart
Wendy Joy Hart began singing early; being raised on the jazz and ragtime albums that her parents played, she was first a soloist at the age of 13. She went on to get her degree in Theatre and Dance and moved to NYC where she was active in stock and regional theater, later performing extensively in dinner theater, cabaret and cruise ship settings. The last 2 years have seen her singing with the Dick Peterson Orchestra as well as doing jazz and pop gigs and various recording projects. Wendy is also the founder of The Chicago Vocal Studio where she teaches private voice students as well as leading "SHINE: The Singers Workshop".
