Margaret Andrea
Margaret
Andrea has been performing in the Chicagoland area for over a decade.
She has produced and performed her shows at many outstanding venues,
which include Pop's for Champagne, Heartland Café, Davenport's,
Gentry, and The Royal George Theatre. For many years, she performed
in the theatre and cruise ship scene, working with Carnival Cruise
Lines, Music Theatre Workshop, Light Opera Works in Evanston, and
Bailiwick Repertory Theatre. However, her favorite performing niche
quickly became singing in jazz and cabaret clubs and at private
parties and weddings. At these venues, she has the freedom to choose
the music and create many different types of shows for all audiences.
She performed with the female trio, The Blondes. This group formed
in 1995 and released their cd, "Try" in 1997 to outstanding
reviews. She will have The Blondes cd for sale at Singer Spotlight.
One of the highlights performing with The Blondes was singing "The
Star-Spangled Banner" at a Chicago White Sox Game. In addition
to her many performances, she previously taught music and theatre
for students ages K-8 in Chicago and Lake Zurich, Illinois where
she directed reviews, variety shows, and plays. Currently, she is
preparing a cabaret show for middle students for a "Fine Arts
Day" in March. Margaret Andrea is a member of Chicago Cabaret
Professional. www.chicagocabaret.org
