Performing
at Singer Spotlight North Shore on Thursday, November 20 at Pops
Highwood.
Rachelle Kole
For the past 10 years Rachelle has been the vocalist
for the Larry Brent Orchestra. She has performed for private parties
throughout the Chicago area. Rachelle's voice was a familiar feature
on the John Records Landecker show on WLS radio as the Iowa Songbird
in the late 80's. She is currently busy in her own production company,
being the mother of three children, ages 7,5 & 3. She is looking
forward to getting back to a more active singing career.
Miranda
Huber
Miranda is 18 years old and is a senior at Warren High School in
Gurnee, IL where she is a member of the girls choir. She has been
actively pursuing a singing career since the age of nine when she
joined the Dance Center North of Libertyville and sang in their
annual production of " The Nutcracker". She has trained with vocalist,
Tamara Anderson for over five years and attended voice training
seminars at the College of Dupage. Miranda has performed at the
Lake County Fair Talent Competition, the Pro Sing Teen Competition
held at Bellini's Restaurant in Libertyville, on AT & T Cable for
the Variathon Show which raised money for the Round Lake School
District and was honored to perform at a benefit in Mchenry, IL.
She has taken every opportunity and gained experience by performing
kareoke at several local restaurants. In June of 2002, she was a
featured performer at The Local Vocal Brew Showcase, hosted by Wendy
Morgan at the "Lion's Den" in Chicago. Miranda was also a featured
performer in Singer Spotlight Jr., which was held at Fitzgeralds
in Berwyn, IL and was hosted by Becca Kaufman and Amy Mowery in
October of 2002. Miranda enjoys singing the katest pop and blues
hits by artists like Mariah Carey, Christina Aguilera, Alicia Keys,
Britney Spears, Michelle Branch and many more. She recorded a demo
CD at Girder Mode Studios in Winthrop Harbor, IL and is very focused
on her singing career. She is looking forward to new experiences
in the entertainment industry.
Eric
Whitman
is very pleased as well as grateful to Paula, Libby,
Amy, and Becca, and everyone else involved with Singer Spotlight
for the oppurtunity to perform here tonight. A graduate of Columbia
College Chicago, Eric has performed as an actor, singer, and voiceover
artist for fifteen years. Though he has worked mainly in the South
and the Midwest, he has experienced exposure in Europe, Australia,
and New Zealand. He is a published songwriter(BMI), and a former
bandleader (Big Skillet). Eric returned to Chicago last year from
Nashville, where he spent several years working as a vocalist and
performer both onstage and in the studio. He is glad to be back
in Chicago, his adopted hometown. Eric just finished playing Chip
in the new musical "Love In The Middle Ages" at the Mercury Theatre,
and can be seen in December at Davenport's Piano Bar as part of
Chicago Cabaret Professionals' "Holiday Cabaret Show". He thanks
everyone here tonight for coming out and supporting great music
and the people who put it out there. He can be contacted at ericwhitman1@yahoo.com
Margaret
Stewart
"Live each day as if it's your last," says Margaret Stewart, who
describes her style as "reminiscent of vocalists in the tradition
of Peggy Lee and Rosemary Clooney." Margaret is a late entry into
the world of professional singing and is making up for lost time.
She has performed at various venues and events around Chicagoland
this past year and considers herself incredibly lucky to have had
three musicians of the caliber of Bobby Schiff, Stew Miller and
Chuck Christiansen, aka, The Bobby Schiff Trio, backing her. Earlier
this month, she performed at the Greater Chicago Food Depositor's
Annual Fundraising Benefit at The Chicago Hilton. In December, she'll
be doing another benefit for the Human Rights Campaign at Club Speakeasy.
In late summer, she also started performing on a monthly basis with
The Kenny Hall Trio at The Hardware Store (no, not Home Depot),
in Grayslake. Margaret would like to give a special thanks to Fay
Kaiser, her vocal coach, and Bobby Schiff and the boys for their
encouragement and support this past year. Also thanks to Paula,
Libby and all the folks at Singer Spotlight for providing such a
fantastic venue for performers.
